With St. Valentine's Day just around the corner and as Winter finally makes its appearance for 2012, I am planning to e-mail someone whose profile I discovered on Match.com weeks ago that intrigued me in some ways. Her first name (she says) is Hilary (screen name HMS0416 - presumably the lady's initials and birth month and day - the year must be 1985 since she claims to be 26) and from just her appearance in some profile photos she has the two qualities of my dream woman - black hair (short styled) and blue eyes, along with taller than average height (5' 8") and a delightful smile.
The drawbacks to this young lady are as follows. She expects to date someone making $50,000 - 150,000 per year, whereas I currently make around an estimated $5,000 per year from a part time job while working toward becoming a comfortably self-employed author making a decent five figures or more. She smokes occasionally, while I never do but am not bothered being around smokers generally. She is a social drinker while I don't drink alcohol (hate the taste of it based upon limited experience) - but might prove useful as her designated driver. She likes to travel (most women on dating sites seem to) but I resist flying while the godforsaken TSA is abusing commercial air travelers with groping and unsafe radiation scans trying to prevent previous terrorist attacks (while anyone today could walk into a busy terminal with explosives strapped to their bodies, set it off and kill hundreds standing nearby - what would TSA do then, move the backscatter X-ray scanners and groping gloved agents to the front entrance and not allow anyone in the building without a security check) the same way generals are always fighting the last war today. She is also looking for men ages 30-39 who live within 20 miles of Columbus, Ohio. I am 43 and live about 120 miles from my state's capital city (but know generally how to get there by car). The age appropriateness of getting involved with a woman 17 years my junior almost seems like robbing the cradle in some ways, even though age is just a number not a curse. She doesn't list her religion, leading me to suspect whatever it is it's not Christianity (maybe Hinduism, since she practices yoga - something else I will never do willingly as it is unchristian even though many Christian ladies practice it without realizing it's part of a pagan Asian religion which teaches reaching enlightenment by self-reflection when posing the body instead of looking to God first and forsaking using the body as an instrument for any enlightenment or raised consciousness).
I will be e-mailing her later tonight. The last time I e-mailed a profiled lady on Match her profile disappeared the very next day. I later learned Match puts phony profiles on its site with one photo or no photos. I discovered these phony profiles when seeing four different women from Parkersburg, WV who wrote identical paragraphs in their profiles and had identical stated ages and characteristics. Two other profiles had their similarities that made me smell a rat. I need to be careful who I contact and not get connected to psycho women or get tricked by more phony Match.com profiles. Even odder was how a woman with the screen name komastra favorited my profile and when I checked out hers it was no longer available. Apparently women do not normally block potential gentlemen suitors, but either that's what happened to me last month or I'm checking out phony profiles, I hope and pray Hilary from Columbus is a real woman and I've got an honest shot at finding true love by taking another chance to connect with this attractive lady. Only if I fail this time, I need to get back on the horse and try again much sooner than weeks later as with the last contact I attempted. God willing, I'll find a soulmate in this fallen world yet. I'll try to be open-minded and flexible, but cannot compromise away my beliefs for the sake of love.
