The injured foot is getting better and I may soon be able to return to a job I wish I could trade in for a better one or at least one that I enjoyed far more. The writing career got a small boost with my newest completed short story acceptance at Static Movement's Werewolf versus Vampire anthology. Unfortunately most of the professional publication markets I submitted to in the last five months are in no similar haste to tell me the status of my submissions left for their consideration. There is the slim chance they sent me an e-mail already either accepting or rejecting my work that did not arrive in my mailbox for some reason. I need to investigate this possibility. The cynical answer is they already rejected my work and I just have yet to realize this. The monetary amounts are not large but some of them would be larger than any I received for my work on three occasions last year. So far this year I have earned no money from my short fiction and precious little from the books thus far. I want to redesign the four self-published covers on all them to look more professional or at least less crude and childish in artistic quality, but still don't have any options and lack any artistic talent with drawing or illustrating. I also received copies of my next novel from Dark Moon Press today, Claws of T'birsk, and hope this horror novel will gain more recognition than my previous novel work.
